1929 Sohmer & Co., New York Grand Piano - 6ft 4in for sale in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

$750

Up for sale is my circa 1929 Sohmer & Co., New York grand piano, identification number 73774 # 9. It is a complete, living room or parlor grand at 6ft 4in in length, Sohmer & Co. Scale 9 with mohogany veneer and beautiful 20's Art Deco design information.

I bought this piano back in 2009 from a family who apparently possessed it from new. The little girl, who had actually inherited the piano from her mommy did not play and intended to offer it to somebody who did. I am a pianist and organist and have actually spent my profession so far in expert music. I bought the piano due to the fact that I fell in love with it, liked how it felt and reacted. I meant to have it entirely restore, which never ever took place given that professional classic artists aren't making lots of cash nowadays. Now I am proposing work and need to sell my piano - which has served me well and is a dear buddy. I have played it routinely, classically.

That stated, the piano is in playable, tunable condition. At the same time, is has to be reconditioned and rebuilt. It might use a new action and be restrung. If it were refinished by professionals, and cosmetically is would be stunning. The keyboard has its original ivory keys, although some are split and split. Keys c""and g""with c""'are broken and require new hammers. It also has its initial bench. With a complete restoration the piano would be rather a gem!

The piano itself determines:.
75inches long.
57 inches broad at the keyboard.
38 inches high to the rim.

The bench measures:.
36 inches broad.
15 inches deep.
19 inches high.

I want to negotiate on rate. And can respond to practically any concern about the instrument.
